I have been going to this Vietnamese restaurant since I stepped foot into Melbourne years ago. Its cheaper than the other Vietnamese restaurant down the road (Tien Dat) and in my opinion, still equally good. Like other Vietnamese restaurants, this one serve Bun, Pho, main dishes, and other Vietnamese starters like spring rolls and pancake.
I tried their Hanoi spring rolls, according to the waitress, the pastry used is traditional vietnamese, when fried, its more crispy and less thick than the other traditional pastries like the one used in the Saigon spring roll (also on the menu). Please observe the spring roll skin below, it has bubbles on the surface, definitely different than the usual.

The filling was pork and prawns.. when bit into these spring rolls, indeed, its crisp on the outside, and filled with awesome tasting goodies on the inside. Not the best spring rolls I have tasted, but not bad at all.
Grilled Chicken Bun ( AUD 9.50).. needless to say, I love chicken hence I love this dish.. the chicken was perfectly marinated, grilled to perfection with a few charred bits, just the way I like it, and the accompanying sauce, what a beautiful balance it had... just the right amount of fish sauce, lime and sugar.. served with fresh vegetables. Guilt free eating. Score!
Look at the tender chicken pieces...with the right amount of char.
And of course, the pho.. beef pho to be exact, there was beef balls, beef tendon and beef slices... everything beef... tendon was a bit hard, probably needed a little bit more cooking! The rest was good. Soup was tasty and clear..feel free to add the side of Taugeh aka beanshoots and herbs into this dish.. especially the basil, giving this dish OOMPH!
Tried their three coloured drink... sweet .. nothing great.. a bit like CHENDOL.. a malaysian dessert.
Loved how this place has an outdoor seating area for those who love to bask in the sun.. lovely.
Not forgetting a photo of the indoor seating area as well..
