Who doesn't like chicken rice?

This place is my family's current favourite chicken rice shop in town, lovely ambience inside.. and cleaner than any other chicken rice shops..with cute deco! From the olden days, traditional telephone..

To cute little bonsai plants around the shop!

Not forgetting, menu on the blackboard.. and of course printed menus as well (not shown)!

We ordered the mixture of meats, steam chicken (of course), lohbak, char Siew and the three layer pork..They serve curry chicken as well, but we figured there was enough protein for the day!

The chicken definitely scores a big tick in the tasty and tender box, plus the chicken skin -silky smooth and not too fatty, absolutely a PLUS to me! The Char Siew, is definitely a stunner, red on the outside with a delicious sugar crust, not forgetting the slight char on the outside, is so wonderfully flavoursome! The Loh Bak and Three Layer Pork is also a crowd pleaser.. the Loh Bak savoury both inside and out, and the three layer pork, WOW, what other words to describe it except 'fatty goodness'! YUMMY! Oh oh, love the eggs as well, well coated with the soya sauce goodness and stewed for just the right amount of time, delish I must say!

PLUS the slightly tangy, well balanced chilli sauce with garlic, really gives the entire dish the KICK it deserves! My family practically drank bowls of chilli sauce, but beware of foul breath after!

AND of course, the chicken rice, certainly flavoursome, good enough to eat on its own... not too oily, and presented in a very tasteful manner! Plus the pickled vegetable soup, a good accompaniment!

RICE!

After eating these oily goodness, time for a detox with chrysanthemum tea, fresh, sweet and refreshing! Give it a try!

For breakfast, they have kaya and toast, paos, siu mais etc... they usually serve veges for lunch as well, but due to lack of staff when I visited last time, non were available! However, for those who love chicken rice but prefer a nicer ambience to relax and just take in the goodness of chicken rice, do give this place a try! However, service can be quite slow especially during peak hours, so please be patient! Consumption of good food requires abundant patience!

Verdict: Good food, would have been great if service was fast as well! Overall, still my favourite chicken rice shop in town!
